Covid-19 Vaccine Policy for 2024 Programs

For Alaska Programs

All IMG climbers are required to have received as a minimum the primary COVID-19 vaccination series (1 or 2 doses depending on manufacturer). Please submit proof of vaccination at least 120 days prior to the start of the climb. This can be done directly by email to imgregistration@mountainguides.com. Please bring four covid rapid antigen tests with you to Alaska.

For International Programs

Participants are required to comply with the covid vaccination and documentation requirements of the destination country or area. For the most up to date information, visit the website of your destination country embassy in the USA, US Embassy website for your destination country, the CDC, and US State Dept Travel pages. In general, a digital vax certificate (with QR Code) is the gold standard for international travel (check with your State health department). Some countries do not require this, or may have an alternate testing requirement. Each place we visit is different, and these rules are changing regularly.

For Domestic Programs (Lower 48 Programs)

IMG recommends that all participants are vaccinated prior to joining us on our domestic (lower 48) programs. If you have any covid symptoms at the start of or during your program, including fever, shortness of breath, sore throat, or a new loss of taste or smell, please notify IMG staff immediately. Please note that due to the unpredictable nature of the Covid-19 pandemic, these policies may change. Please also note that there may other measures that we will need to take (such as masking in vehicles or in Government buildings) that are dictated by Mount Rainier National Park or other land managers.
