We finally make it to Tingri, after jeep driving across Tibet. Here we meet up with our Sherpa team, who has a beautiful camp set up for us on grass next to a small stream. We spend the next day doing an acclimatization hike…reaching nearly 15,000 feet on a small peak outside of town. The town of Tingri is in the background, in the middle of the famous plains of Tingri which have been used for centuries for grazing by the locals.
