After several days in Kathmandu getting our Chinese visas and being tourists, we leave for Lhasa. The flight begins by flying due east, and we get this great view of the Himalayas. Visible are Cho Oyu on the left, the Everest group in the middle, and Makalu to the right of Everest. After passing Makalu, we turn north and cross the range to Tibet.
