News: Good Progress to Camp 5

Kami and his team of 8 sherpas again went to C5, pitching a Eureka! Fifth Season tent there and stashing the gear in it that they had hauled up during the last two days. Then they headed for ABC for a well-deserved rest.

Today, Panuru and his team of 11 Sherpas climbed to the Col. The rest of the search team is now back at Base Camp resting. They will head back up in a few days, this time possibly to Camp 5 and then on up into the search zone. With the snow cover on the upper mountain so light (pretty much like 1999 conditions) I think we have a very good chance to see some exciting news in the next week or two. Good progress!
